Sonnet: Start Training Early - Poem by Dr. A.Celestine Raj Manohar M.D.,
When supple, green, then branches bend with ease;
But older ones turn stiff and fracture fast;
You cannot exercise too with disease;
When old, our frame gets set like plaster-cast.
Like how young children can be trained to act,
And learn behaviour, expected of them;
Adults can improve too when told with tact,
To give up bad habits, become a gem.
All forms of training must be done from youth;
Its rigors increased gradually with time;
That practice makes one perfect is the truth;
So is the case with any art or Rhyme.
You catch them young for any great purpose;
When old, our system turns akin spare-bus.
