Sonnet: Tribute To A Glorious Human Sun (Late)dr. M.K. Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Tribute To A Glorious Human Sun (Late)dr. M.K.

A human sun had set in Tamilnad,
To never rise to bring a dawn again;
Nor make the moon at night to make us glad,
Or light the many spheres, it lit, or lane!

The nonagenarian had breathed his last;
He was a Maestro for Dravidian cause;
Most hearts in state are sad and eyes downcast;
In Indian politics, he was a boss!

The Tamil writer-poet slogged all life
For Tamil literature, and Tamil's right;
He smiled and made all others smile in strife;
To hearts of poor, he was their hope and light.

Five times, the state's Chief Minister, he won
All elections he fought, and stayed a So(u) n!
Most lovingly dedicated to (late)Dr.M.Kalaignar Avl
May his soul Rest in Peace in Marina!
