Sorrow Tree Poem by Edimar Silva

Sorrow Tree

Rating: 5.0

This madness is all around
I'm paralyzed, I see my feet
They are buried in the ground
My heart is silent, doesn't beat

I am human no more
You made me more than this
To live, life is what for?
Just leave me here in peace

You brought me to my knees
Now it's my time to plead:
My soul is scared, she flees
Could you take the lead?

To take her to some place
She'll never come back
Say goodbye to my face
Something I'm gonna lack

The roots started to grow
For hundreds of years I'll see
People happy, in awe
As I am a Sorrow Tree
