Sorry For Pushing You Away Poem by Sonia H.

Sorry For Pushing You Away

Every day I was suffering
In sadness' agony
But you did not realize
Isn't that funny?

I never said a word
I never let you know
Until it was too much
I had to let you go

The sadness and anger
Strangle and blind me
I thought without you
I would finally be free

I said it was over
I pushed you away
Despite your pleads
To let you stay

I'm sorry for leaving you
I didn't mean what I said
I'm sorry for hurting you
Something wrong with my head

I know you only loved me
And you've done nothing wrong
But even though you're gone now
I still can't move on

I watched you walk away
And now I'm on my own
There's nothing I can do now
So to you I write this poem
