The World That Is Love Poem by Sonia H.

The World That Is Love

Satisfied by simple life
Alone with no one 'round
Where never felt was pain of knife
Nor sweetest treasure found

Oh, but just humans we are
With what knowledge we have to seek more
So purring minds will travel far
Without knowing what we're looking for

My claws scrape the surface
Heard is sound of success
What holds me back, what's this?
With fear I can't progress

Time has passed and all is gone
Now my claws, they touch just dirt
Conquer the fear so to move on
All my willpower I must exert

What is this glowing light I see
Peeking out from the cold ground
Treasure unlocked, opened for me
Seconds passing, without a sound

Here be all the temptations
A hand reaching for mine
Awaiting my confirmation
With the brightest shine

Step into a new land
Wilder than fantasies
For dreams could not expand
Nor compare to reality

Let this fantasy sing
A lullaby soft and sweet
For conscience likes travelling
New thoughts thoughts would meet

Oh, land so bright
Amid a perfect breeze
Joy after every sight
Never want to leave

More than simple smile
Shadows exist with every light
The thorns prick me all the while
Though nothing more than fight

Oh, I see the darkness
The frozen blood stings
Stabbing pain in my chest
Feeling dead within

Balanced scale exists
But all that's felt is end
Desperately seeking exits
Thought treasured moments spent

Let me drown in my sapphires
Falling through shadow and ice
Only wished for scarlet fire
Warm and bright and nice

I try to run away
But warmth is here
Holding me to stay
Battling the fear

Colours start to dull
Nothing unexplored
To me the world lulls
No longer fun galore

Never be the the same
This world is a piece of me
The happniess when I came
Gone and all I have seen

Passion exists no more
But this world I must keep
For it is my core
If lost then I weep

The world lasts not forever
Fading from my eyes
I wish to stay together
So I'll always try

Once world is seen
All has changed
Things will never be
Though nothing arranged

Despite the chilly winter airs
There be bright summer days
Winter chokes me to despair
But for the warmth I'll stay

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Love is more simple than just happy and warm feelings.
When you finally discover love, it is like setting foot into an entirely new world. It has its cold points, it has its highs. This is what the poem is about.
