I have known you then and again,
across the oceans and rivers of time,
I have known you forever
for I am yours and you are mine.
I have known you since the dawn,
across many ages, through many wars,
yet return to you always
for I am only ever, truly yours.
I have known you right and left,
in all directions and am often bereft
when you are absent in some life
for I am yours, an eternal wife.
I have known you in primordial skin,
since the essence of being began
and long so desperately to return
to the arms of my sacred husband.
