Soulmate Poem by mazHur Butt

Soulmate

Soulmate

Aren't we deceiving ourselves, sweet,
Calling ourselves as Soulmates?
We may be alike in Soul and Spirit
That's how our Thoughts tell
But there is more than that
Thoughts are like Birds of the Mind
They will fly away as their wings grow
To another Soul for quarter
Let's not rely on bleak imagination
As we are Humans not Stones
Humans have Five senses governing us
Our Heart and Mind and all where they rest
If Soul could exist without a body
Then Stones wouldn't be dead at Hearts
Soulmates are like one night stand
Here today there tomorrow
Permanence is to Body and Soul
If One leaves the Other
Both must die.
