Soulmates Poem by Disguised Star

Soulmates

Rating: 5.0

I finally found him.
He's perfect, I thought.

I dreamt him in a dream,
And explored him through thought.

His soft black hair,
and emerald green eyes.

I could lay there forever,
staring at the tall figure,
that watched me sleep.

The songs he played on his guitar amused me,
and tickled a place in my heart.

His love for all things good,
tested my soul.

Too perfect,
I thought.

I longed for his touch,
his grip on my skin,
Oh how would it feel,
to be with him?

As i stared into those powerfull eyes,

I began to reach my arms out,
searching for his to meet.

He seemed so far away,

Just as i came close,

He disappeared,
Like a sword struck into a bubble.

My heart crumbled as i remembered,
that it was just a dream,
Just a thought,
Just a wish,
Just a hope,
Just a vision

Perhaps even just destiny.

How my heart will wait for him,
as he finds me,

For soul mates we shall become.
