Souls Poem by Avery Jackson

Souls

From the beginning
Souls have existed
Ebbing and flowing
Within the universe
They have discovered
That once they're here
They can't come back
the same
And if they try
They will find
A greater treasure
Than one's
Soul

At the end of their time
They regret
The grief
They've shared
Within
And when they're gone
They usually find
The universe
Has lost a
Little of its
Soul

And after they're gone
Again and again
The cycle repeats
They are not aware.
Once again,
In the same world.
Just a small
Soul.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My friend Isaiah (He helped me with this poem)and I were both reading a book in the perspective of the grim reaper, and he carried souls to and fro, so we thought of writing a poem about souls' lives.
