South Place Poem by Marilyn Lott

South Place

There is a chunk of land that’s special
For this land belongs to me
And in the midst of the acreage
An old house teeters precariously

With the Oklahoma sky above
Life moves along very well
It’s a place I can roam freely
Though it’s not a place I dwell

Miles and miles of unused land
Is beautiful to my camera lens
And a place that I call mine
It is where special time is spent

Hills and valleys have their own look
I treasure their freshness so much
It’s God’s country, you see
With a wonderful and delightful touch

I hope you have a spot to go
Where you love to share the space
Like I do with this Oklahoma land
I truly treasure my South Place!
