Souvenir Shopping Poem by Marilyn Lott

Souvenir Shopping

Most everyone collects something
And there’s so many things to choose
Statues of every kind
Why, there’s no way you can lose

Is it Elephants that excite you?
Wolves or frogs or maybe Eagles?
Sculpted so perfectly
Perhaps a family of cute little Beagles

Indian sculpture is so much fun
Shows talent beyond words
Or maybe Tigers make you happy
Why, you can collect them by the herds

Or would you rather have people?
Little characters that bring humor?
You can never have too much ‘stuff’
That’s just a silly rumor

So whatever makes you happy
Whatever makes you grin
Whatever strikes your fancy
Let the souvenir shopping begin!
