Spanish Words Poem by 'Merse' Mersedes III

Spanish Words

Rating: 5.0

My memories of that night yell in a small voice coming from the corner Where the body of that girl that night can be found huddled in a corner dead beneath the tall buildings in the perfect heat of that moment walking on the concrete sidewalks filled with so many cracks you can't help but step on one, if your mother knew it'd be more than a broken back

Orange cheeto stained hands Rub jeans leaving spots to be washed Pockets filled with wallets Black wallets like the night I ate turkey tilted on white bread without a care about what others though, animal abuse, steroids, heart failure

Spanish words printed in columns talking about Bush Jr. Laying next to my plate mocking my existance Spanish words I just don't understand but you do like the talks telling tall tales of love we shared Kim, Brandon, Yusef, Gays, religion, music - It was always about music for you
