Special Friends Poem by Heaven Gift

There ‘r many things I’ve been given
Many things that I’ve lost
And many more that I’ve found
Everything that I’ve been given
Is blessed to me.. In many ways

With all those lovely things
That God gave me
There’s only one I like my very best
And that’s a friend like you

All my other friends that were given
Don’t wait for me to ask for help
They just get up and do
What they think is best for me

But you my dear friend
Will wait till I cry for help
And tell me to do it all myself
And that’s how much I regret
To have a friend like you
The stars are far away
And so is the distance between us

But Holy God no matter what
You’ll never let me
Change my mind
On what a joyful friend you are

How nice am I
To write a poem
Just for you
With all these powerful, harsh words
Filled with love
You’re a great friend

Although I talk of you like this
You’re one of the best people
That I have met
Through my whole life
Made just for you by me
