Spider's Web - Poem by Lola Sanchez

I am darker than I seem
and happier than most
within the dark recesses of my mind
mist swirls
clouds collect
and storms break out
days on end

In the corner spiders lurk
and spin their web of lies
to trap me within these walls

Carefully I elude them
