Spider Web Poem by Thabo Mpofu

Spider Web

Hypnotized
Mesmerized.
The world has moved past and am are caught in between trying to find myself and trying to fit in with how the society has changed.
Webs spirals hypotizing when i gaze at them
Lost in the ever going never ending spiral.
Lost in a world of fascination.
Chains
Invisible chains
Bound me a prisoner.
They say they are easy to break
But my comfort I lose
The pain I choose
The anguish I cleave to
Its safer this way.
Am comfortable this way
.stretch
Stretch the lips and see where they end.
Show your teeth a little
They call it a smile
Don't worry keep doing it everyday until you get used to it.
Move
Move from the corner, the room is big
Take a few steps and change your seat once in a while
Comfort is everywhere
Only you can break the invisible chains bounding your heart coiling in a pattern like a spider web.
