Spilt Personality {opposite} Poem by Golden_Nanah 01

Spilt Personality {opposite}

I craved the searing embrace of pain,
Yet it eluded me.
I longed to shed tears,
But my eyes remained dry.
As I fought against the encroaching numbness,
I sensed her looming presence.
Surrounded by false faces of sympathy,
Each moment of disdain casts a shadow over me.
And then she slithered in, clouding my judgment.
The boundary between malice and compassion blurred, our eyes turning dark.
She turned away from those we loved who had just met their demise,
Determined to obliterate those who brought about their end.
