Spirit Uprising Poem by La Tonya Davis

Spirit Uprising

Closed my eyes are; listing to an utterly sound,
the softer it gets,
the more my heart does pound.
My breathing gets more and more calm,
until finally it stops.

The air around me turns cold,
as the sky rips apart to unleash warm rain drops.

The spirit world is calling my name,
The sound of it and that of a babbling brook is the same.
My spirit answers with a gentle blow,
as the heaven reveals a beautiful sunset, as tears do flow.

The flowers bloom in front of my face,
blooming from rain; pouring from outer space,
pure and fresh, so cold it drives you in sane.

The heavens open, as my eyes along with them,
beautiful planets, bright stars, gorgous moons,
but you can only see just the rim,
the light that's bright, resembles a thumbnail.
An angel in flight as on the clouds she sails.
