Spiritual Lemon Tea Poem by Jimmy L. Lyons

I'm getting really tired of singing the blues;
it's time I got some breaking news.
I feel my spiritual lemon tea is brewing,
and soon I'll be finished with all my stewing.

When The Black Eyed Peas sing "I Gotta Feeling"
my blues begin to feel some healing.
Spiritual lemon tea gets my body warm,
and my soul feels ready to weather the storm.

My life needs more happiness, joy and love;
all gifts that come from Heaven above.
I don't want to keep on falling,
and forgetting to answer when God's calling

The taste of my spiritual lemon tea
helps me know that faith in Christ is the key.
God, let me stop feeling all this pain;
let me run and shout and sing in the rain.

As I drink my spiritual lemon tea,
I pray that the Lord will bring blessings to me;
that He'll show me the way to do what's best,
and help me let go, let God and be blessed.
