Spread Out Poem by John Shea

Spread Out

If I was peanut butter and jelly
I might be old
If I was pencil and paper
I might be bold
If I was a bounder and cad
I might be sad
If but a gentleman
Humble and glad
If I had sense
I might be rich
If I flew like an eagle
Turkeys would flinch
If life spread the butter
Shea would too since
Love is my life
Spread throughout the world
For the end of the strife.
