Squrrile Poem by prabhakar bhatlekar

Squrrile

From branch to branch,
within leaves
that speedy squirrel
seen-unseen goes where?
From this tree to next,
throwing around
shrilling screams for nothing.
Keeping the dancing tail ulert
meditating with fixed gaze
like a dictator of the tree
what she must be thinking?
In the quite, empty afternoon
she let her screams haunt you.
Bright sun cast dark
shadows below the tree
stretching slowly towards east
as the day yawns.
From the branch
the squirrel looks at my
window for me.
I watch her hiding myself
in the dark room.
Angrily she repeatedly
calls for me.
But amnot there to
pamper her...
From the dark room
I watch the yawning day
and get ready for
the night dreams...
The mighty dark tree
spread giant branches
all around and the dark
seen-unseenspeedy squirrel
of the night goes where?
