Stalemate Poem Poem by Alexander Foald

Stalemate Poem

One night and a long dream until dawn
Awaken in the middle of self redemption
You think you know why things happen
But you don’t know until they’d gone

The sun shines brighter than yesterday
One would only notice the warmth in a way
Your disillusioned eyes see through the day
After all, it’s always what you’re going to pay

But in reality, everything is just a stalemate
When you’ve given up, there’ll be no prize to get
Sometimes it is easier indeed to just accept your fate
While sometimes it is better to realize what you might have left

Can you change the drive?
Can you see through the wall?
Can you follow the wind?
Can you find the end?
