Standing On The Rock Poem by Alysza Ripley

Standing On The Rock

Rating: 4.3

Pretending to
Stand strong
As the moon eclipses
All in sight
Taking away stars’ power
To light the way
Blindly grasping at straws
Failing to find the power
To say and hold firm
To what you know
Wishing that someone would
Do it for you
But knowing that if
You want something done right
Do it yourself
