Star Trek Fifty Years Later Poem by Nick krakana

Star Trek Fifty Years Later

The sixties were
Out of this world

The strangest of fiction
Had been unfurled

Captain Kirk with his trusty crew
Cruised round the cosmos
Face timing like me and you

Rodenberry's visionary mind
Was definitley one of a kind
What could have triggered it so

How can it be a mere mortal like we
Could see technology hidden futuristically

How on earth did he become so keen
Was it a dream about a heavenly machine

Was there something
Fifty or more years ago
Something in the know

For telling Gene
Of how things will go

Is it a safe assumption to say
History was painted in star ship ways
