You are the girls and boys of Jamaican soil,
You are full of sun and vitamin C,
Your skin is a rich texture of melanin,
Your hair is lush coil and curl,
You're a budding prospect,
The future is yours for the taking,
You can help to build your better tomorrow,
By listening to your respected teachers,
And study your lessons well,
Because there is a star within you.
