Starry Eyed Poem by Cynthia Salinas

Starry Eyed

Seeing the sun kiss the moon
good night is the sweetest thing in the
world, but to us all we see is the sweet
purple and auburn sunset, that sets fire on
their love. I see this in your eyes, and
wonder why it crashed in pieces and thrown
to the sky, since then many stars envied
you, my shining star.
