Stars Appear. Poem by Ricky Antunes

Stars Appear.

She awakes
Towards the skies
Like a blooming flower
Springs forth
The petals white
A very sunny disposition
Reflects the sun

She smiles
You gleam brighter
Bounce reflectant
A fill light
Fills my heart
Softens my frown
Life reflective sun dial
Turns to smile

My heart present
Sheen of light reflect you in place
But ever present stream of mind
Petals white
Oh so quiet sun dial
In ever presence from afar
Made of flower
So fragile, so strong
Our petal white of sheen
My virgin smile bounces back

My eyes turn up
My heart beats fast
Your bloom in place
To seek the stars
The flower blooms
Only finds one...
The skies resumes
You in smile
My heart in bloom
Ever present dawn magic
Except for one
When the Hour tolls at sunset
Days end
All goes dark
And soon the stars

Now reflectant lunar white
You in sleep as I watch
You in sleep as I smile
You in sleep until the dawn
