The Body Poetic Poem by Ricky Antunes

The Body Poetic

Rating: 5.0

Not from the sky
But before my eyes
Upon a day in simple terms:
A Revelation

Upon a day of rain or shine
A Kiss when met
To meet your lips
From cheek to cheek
From ear to ear,
Hello.

With a smile
Glistens still
With the saliva
Upon your lips
Lovefull hopeful
Spoon fulls

Weather mechanic love boat
Upon a day of doom and gloom
The shroud of cloud part,
The sun shines-
A Kiss.

Upon my lips
When in function
Either way a good day
Completes me

Then the rain pours down
Like a shrouded hood
But inside my mind
The veil lifts up
Solar rays part the skies
Upon your lips
A smile...
Goodbye
