All the dreams you cherished
All that you hold dear
Shattered in a moment
By loss and pain and fear

You are not the first to be here
This empty space of pain
That doesn’t change with sunshine
And not washed away by rain

So now you are the keeper
Of visions few should have
It challenges your thinking
And holds back how you laugh

But through pain comes foundation
A new place to begin
That starts with those around you
And letting their love in
