He comes to me in the night
Begging for forgiveness
Explaining his wrongs
Trying to make me understand
He won't stay away.

I hear the moans and cries he makes
I hear him when he calls my name
It echoes in my head
Over and over.

He's on his knees begging
The look in his eyes
The tears falling from his face
He's pleading for me to love him again
But I can't love what isn't true.

Time is slowly going by
The pain is getting stronger
My heart is broken
Will it ever mend?

Time will cure my broken heart
It will heal my wounds
Even though you hurt me
I still love you
I am scared and lonely
I can't understand this
