Stay With Me Poem by John McCaffrey

Stay With Me

stay with me
you subtle thief of twilight blossom
persuade me, divine eternity
with semblances of broken dance
banish the quivering green that summer sings
shadow the opening rose
shed not my soul
betrayed not my nakedness
say only
you will stay
unfurled
