Staying Long Poem by Peter Bonsu

Staying Long

Staying long, I'd write you a song
Hoping you'd vibe with the beat, all day long
Never had this, I swear, never felt this fire
Hope, strong, will find you and me, desire
Making us the best of what life's got in store

Holding coffee, but it's bitter now
Black was gold, till you showed me how
Thought I had it all, till you ghosted like smoke
Chasing highs, but your love was the real joke

You are the sun slicing through my night
My world gets cold, but you bring the light
Skies had stars aligned just for you
I lose my words, but your smile says it's true 💫

Your smiles were weak, but sparks lit the fuse
You are the flower, making my world diffuse
In your eyes, I find my place
Lost in the moment, our love's a wicked pace 😌
