Still Poem by Johnathan Ausgeber

Still

STILL

So as quiet
as a caterpillar on a leaf,
time passes, joy and sorrow,
without remittance or relief.

Here you are beside me
like a warm and fragrant wish,
I'm grateful for your smile and touch
and words I can't forget.

I still stand beside you,
though aged and showing years,
there's still this thing between us,
life and smiles and tears.
