Still Not Over You Poem by Silence Dogood

Still Not Over You

Rating: 5.0

I wear this mask.
Like a makeup disguise.
Masacared with secrets.
Drenched in its lies.

I'll hide behind it.
Every single day.
Pretending Im alright.
Pretending im okay.

I'll block out the world.
And close my eyes.
A hidden life.
In a city of lies.

Behind my hands.
I can be a fairytale princess.
Wearing a crown.
And the prettiest dress.

But in the real world.
I stand all alone.
No one to catch me.
Or walk me home.

I didnt always have a mask.
Or wear a disguise.
I was just an average girl.
Untill i met this guy.

I had a wall built.
But he broke it down.
Took my heart as prisoner.
And changed my world around.

So I made myself a mask.
To cover the truth.
Because no matter what I say.
Im still not over you.
