Still Some Light - Poem by Sumanta Chatterjee

Still some faint light
Through which
The insensate body of Aylan Kurdi
Turning back on the sky—

Only one life
Thousands of death-processions
How far beyond the galaxy—

If in only flower
The whole plant
And innumerable thorns around
Let the sorcery-land be destroyed—

Topic(s) of this poem: humanity

Form: Elegy
