Still Trying Poem by Jan E Smith

Still Trying

God above do you hear me
when I stop and pray?

So many times I've made the plea
to be my best each day.

Is this prayer worth praying?
And is there hope for me?

Your words I'll try obeying,
in hopes of harmony.

Lord you know I love you,
my life I'd gladly give.

Help me to see what I must do,
a calmer life to live.

Now thank you for my husband
and thank you for each child.

With you together we will stand
in calm as well in wild.
