Still Yearning Poem by Marqese Dabbs

Still Yearning

Your ignorance is bliss
Especially how much I want you
I reach out to you
But you wouldn't grasp my hand
You still shine upon me
Is it pitiful to feel lonely
I want to satisfy your lust and love
But it's specific
Your the only one I'm thinking of
I have a space that it needs you to fill
Because the space is cold, it needs your warmth
Maybe I'm just in a state of euphoria
But why do you drill in my thoughts over and over
Could it be the desire to have something you can't have
My body crawls and shivers when I imagine you
But the vivid thought is far, far away
Im not saying I could please you better than anyone else
Bu what I'm saying is I'll give it my best
Yearning to feel you, I'm lost in my compulsiveness
The behavior that's in the moment
But it's unsatisfied because it keeps thinking
What if, what if
Keep trying. keep trying
The stillness of heart can beat again
Don't let a good thing pass
For 6 years your still on my mind
I wonder if all I want is a kiss
Or do I want something with more meaning
It's complex to me
I have to know what it all means to me
To be so hung on an individual
Feeling like a fool
All this life lived, all this time that has passed
But I'm still yearning
