Stop And Ask Poem by Josephine Lauderdale

Stop And Ask

Why don't you
Write about me?
Ok I will
I love you still
But it's hard to speak of you
You hide from me

Yet
You ask me to see you

How can I do that?
I can't hear you
You are not talking...
Not even a gesture

Yet
You want me to
Write about you

It's your turn now
To do what I have

Take the leap, look inside
Let yourself know
Who's bouncing around

If you let it stop in the middle
And ask it
Who's in here?
I bet they want to share
But
You haven't asked
They want to tell you
Who's in there to share
Ask who's there to share

I dare you
