Stories From The River Poem by Michael Peterson

Stories From The River

Sitting on a bench in the park
Just a holler from the river
Pad on my lap, pen in hand
Temperature just right
A beautiful day to write
A little creative today
The mind flowing like a river
Many ideas down stream
One or two will be caught
Others to be thrown back for another day
Big and small, what's the story?
Words to be told
Legends to be built
Love to make and nourish
Hearts to be broken
Souls to be found
Some may be lost forever
Spirits are high
Tear flowing down
Nature at it's best
Life at its worst
Every day a new story, a new day
For the words bring us into your world
The stories may be real or fake
But our imaginations flow thru
From cover to cover
Like the waves of the river
Banking from the different sides
To the end with thrills and chills
From happiness to sadness
We found your stories to be perfect
Words from the river
Stories from the mind
Flowing into ours in a special way
We will cherish
Of the story written by the river
Flowing downstream from one mind to another
