Story Of A Cowardly Lizard Poem by Grace Kariuki

Story Of A Cowardly Lizard

Story of a coward
cowardly acts
Peeping from cracks of walls
Turning at every corner
To see who's watching.

Ducking. Peeping
Heart pounding in fear
Hiding behind walls, behind corners
Who is your predator?
Come out of those rocks.
See, no one's chasing you.

Open your eyes.
See, Truth beckons
Set yourself free
Live life. Live fully.
See the Sun shines bright.
Bringing life and hope.
Sweet slimy lizard what are you hiding from?
