Story Of A Depressed Girl Poem by Desire Shadows

Story Of A Depressed Girl

She can’t raise her head high,
so she looks down to the ground with her mouth positioned in a frown
she covers her face trying to conceal the scars,
trying to prevent the hurt that once seemed so far,
but its there every minute,
people all around to say those words that cut so deep,
like daggers one by one,
tearing at her self esteem, making her weep,
she feels like she’d rather be sleeping,
or better yet not alive, and unable to feel the pain,
she decides she’s had enough,
that it is not right, this trying to be tough.
