Stranger Poem by Dan Jones

Stranger

We fell in love on a busy street,
Fate’s kind decree that we should meet,
There I stood gazing into her eyes,
While all around London passed us by,
Her beautiful eyes so bright and green,
Emeralds brighter than I’d ever seen,
Only a few seconds to us were allowed,
Before she was swept away with the crowd,
But in those precious seconds so brief,
My heart had drifted like a leaf,
And I know that she felt the same,
I only wish I knew her name.
