Strawberry Roan Poem by Rik Bertrand

Strawberry Roan

The beauty of it all, the magic has me.
I am blinded by the heat, I have been set free.
Her singing tears at my heart, and I relent,
This angel with the long red hair is heaven sent.

Strawberry Roan
Strawberry Roan
Red, with the color of the sun seeping in.
Sing me to heaven; let me feel the love within.

Hair long and silky, with the Irish red tint
Eyes, blue as the sky, with that amazing glint
Beauty that has no rival, voice soothing and firm,
A life full of love, with no problems of concern.

Strawberry Roan
Strawberry Roan
Red, with the color of the sun seeping in.
Sing me to heaven; let me feel the love within.

Life of an Angel, singing songs of love,
Words flow straight down from the heavens above
Music gliding off a silvery tongue,
Face glowing from all the hearts she has won.

Strawberry Roan
Strawberry Roan
Red, with the color of the sun seeping in.
Sing me to heaven; let me feel the love within.

Oh how I hover in the midst of the moment,
My emotions are free, with my last atonement.
Nothing can compare to sweet Strawberry Roan,
And of this thought I know that I am not alone.

Strawberry Roan, the color so sweet,
The color of fire, can you feel the heat?
Strawberry Roan, sing me a song,
In the rhythm of your music is where I belong
