Street Child Poem by Fuhnwi Jarvis

Street Child

Bloodshot eyes, niggardly dressed
I wander around town
Looking wretched, scary
Anyone who looks can't help but frown

Shelter i don't have, food i lack
There's nothing in my name
No time to play, can't have fun
Life is not a fair game

Can't get a hug, smell like hell
It's been long i last took a bath
surrounded by foes, friends are gone
I wonder, is this condemnation's wrath?

I wander all day, i don't demand much
All i need is a piece of bread
To eat and some water to drink
And then look where to lay my head
