Strength In The Struggle Poem by Emmanuel Barlow

Strength In The Struggle

spoke to God last night and asked him to keep me from all temptation
See because prayer doent inform God it simply invites him into the situation
and not to mention makes a stronger connection
So We began to speak of the thorn in my side and these times of inflation
I told him that all of theses issues leave me tired and weak
And so overtaken that even the smallest thing would knock me off my feet.
I told him that between class, work, church, a relatioinship and other teams my life is too much to handle
He said to me that even when it seems as though your life is too much to juggle
If you wait on me you will find strength in the struggle.
And so I said I hear you God but this is just too much. I'm loosing my hair and weight so qucikM couldn't you just take it all away with one quick touch?
He said I could but then you'd never grow. If you don't take a test how could you ever really know. See even When life is just too much stress and too much trouble
Turn to me and ill give you strength in the struggle.
God I hear you but I just want to know when it'll all end.
I can't deal with all of theses issues at the same time.
And it gets to the point where I have to spend my very last dime.
And something has got to give Because I feel like everything is just gonna cave in.
And he said When your world tumbles down and your burried under dubree and rubble
Its then will you realize the strength in the struggle
