Strife Poem by Izik Alcox

Strife

Rating: 4.5

In this darkness you are the one that shines
Overflowed with misery by all your signs
In your absence you leave me here to rot
My emotions overwhelmed and tied in a knot
To embark to days of joy with smiles
A long journey through miles of trials
Yet I stay in darkness hoping for truth
And all I find is myself oh so uncouth
The reality of my life
Is an uphill strife
