Strolling Through Lourdes With Jenna Poem by Michael J ORourke2

Strolling Through Lourdes With Jenna

Lourdes I have visited many times
Pilgrims and Malades I will never forget
The wondrous beauty of forgotten rhymes
The richness of prayer- an eternal debt

Yet, Jenna's eyes lit up my peace-seeking soul
She laughed and cajoled for Mary's sake
While I pulled the carriage in my 'knightly' role
Jenna's charm and smile my soul did wake

And now we stroll down the pilgrimmed street
With Mary beckoning our miraculous dreams
Jenna's eyes and mine did chance to meet
Yes! Time for Stratiacella Ice Cream!
