Stronger Than Me Poem by Alfred Ramos

Stronger Than Me

You must be stronger than me
Flying so high and endlessly
You must be stronger than me
Expressing yourself so openly
I didn’t know what I had
A hidden jewel from the past
I should have opened my eyes
Knowing that the truth will always last
You must be stronger than me
Keeping in what must have been a tragedy
You must be stronger than me
To have a smile for eternity
You must be stronger than me
To give your heart so openly
You must be stronger than me
To accept the pain an move on quietly
I didn’t know a woman could be so strong
In spite of all the things that went wrong
You stood up to fight for what was right
Hopefully you find peace each and every night
You must be stronger than me
Strong and sturdy as an oak tree
You must be stronger than me
I must admit a bit of jealousy
To have such inner strength
Willing to go to any length
To reach a chasm in your heart
The ability to set your dreams apart
You are stronger than me
Stronger than I’ll ever be
So glad that you and I are we
