Stunned Into Silence. Poem by Steven Harris

Stunned Into Silence.

Today was anouther day
it dominates the news
today was just anouther day
that the human race destroys it's own.

Eyes glued to one story
everybody stunned into silence
just anouther day in history
anouther day the human race destroys it's own.

Any faith in humanity left
has been thrown away
it was hanging on a string yesterday
today it falls to the ground
everybody drops at a very large sound
today the human race destroy's it's own.

Everybody crowds round one tiny box
everybody showing sympathy
feeling helpless not knowing what to do
all shocked into silence
as the human race destroys it's own.

Looking for answers
looking for truth
only time will tell
all we can do is wait
hopefully there will be one
at the sound of a bell.

This is the world we live in
a world full of hate
all we can do now
is hope and wait
maybe it will all end
maybe will can all get along
but as history has show
none of us will ever get on
the human race continues to destroys own.

There is nothing we can do
we can do whatever we can
and help the poeple who believe in hope
everything is starting to fall
everything is hanging at the end of a rope
this is the human race folkes
destroyers of their own.

Maybe now we can band together
and build a better home
love and respect is all we can show now
lets all stand together
and show the rest of the world how.
