Sublime Beatitudo Poem by Amal Jacob

Sublime Beatitudo

We all desire to be happy, but how do we attain?
Is it by chasing money, fame, or worldly gain?
Or is it by finding peace, joy, and love within?

Happiness is not in things, but in actions
It is in serving others with kindness and compassion
It is in easing their sorrows and afflictions
It is in saving their time, efforts, and resources.

Happiness is not in self, but in growth
It is in learning from our failures and troubles
It is in seeking the wisdom behind every obstacle
It is in enhancing ourselves and our abilities.

Happiness is not in ease, but in strength
It is in facing hardships with courage and faith
It is in knowing that trials make us resilient
It is in cherishing the blessings even more.

Happiness is not in harm, but in respect
It is in treating others with dignity and care
It is in refraining from hurting anyone by word or act
It is in freeing ourselves from guilt and remorse.

Happiness is not in fate, but in meaning
It is in discovering the purpose of our existence
It is in understanding that we are here for a reason
It is in fulfilling our potential and our essence.
