Subtle Lullaby Poem by Brian Sonberg

Subtle Lullaby

Rating: 0.5

Steel me once again
with that sweaty stare
Prolong that something
that was never fair
Take air until death,
That high peak.
Return with shallow breath,
Unable to speak.
Knowing stares smiled
Through glistening comfort.
Safe in shame.
Folded into arms;
A trap.
